those are first rate observations and it is a pity more people won't stop to think about them seriously.

let me ask you something: why are you trying to find tops and bottoms? are you in the market to find them, or are you in the market to make money? there seems to be an underlying assumption amongst traders that you need to be able to pick out at least one of them to make money. imo that assumption needs to be challenged.

ask this: if after more study than 90% on these boards will ever do you come to the conclusion tops and bottoms cannot be found until well after the fact, what are the implications of assuming traders will still - and continously - attempt to find those turning points?
