doni: It is my understanding that the IBM MicroDrive uses hard disk drive technology to store information in a standard Compact Flash + Type II (CF+ II) form factor. It is not technically a hard drive, but uses the same storage technology as a HDD. I am not an expert on this, so could be wrong. However, when one is shopping for flash memory cards, the MicroDrive seems to be sold along with other flash memory formats.

The original point that I was making was that VoiceNAV seems to work better in the MXP than the Ody 1000 judging from reviews. I don't know if it's because of the amount of data stored or the interactions of firmware issues.
