I don't think you're "deceiving"'anyone. When it comes to financial acumen, you have plenty. I have repeatedly stated you raise valid points about the taxes but to say legalization will lead to increased violence is nothing short of misguided. But I'm still waiting for an example where legalization of anything has lead to an increase in violence.

As for that Washington Post article citing Rand studies and "expert" analysis, I don't put much emphasis on those speculations. Those claims are like listening to 2 doctors testifying on behalf of the defense and the prosecution; one doctor's professional opinion will completely contradict the other's.

"Bankrupt" may be a bit of an over-exaggeration but the 2-4% decrease is for more of an underestimate than mine being an overestimate. There are equally as many studies saying there is and will be a drastic decrease in importing. The study linked below suggests a 65-85% decrease in marijuana imports from Mexico. That same study states MJ imports from Mexico is already only a small portion of of the cartels profits. AND the very same study claims cannabis prices may drop by as much as 80% due to legalization.

Again, this is just another counter-argument with little bearing other than to keep a balance. Time will tell.
