LANDMARK ACQUIRES THREE EARLY-STAGE URANIUM PROPERTIES IN NEWFOUNDLAND
Landmark Minerals Inc., subject to regulatory approval, has reached an option agreement with a private arm's-length vendor to acquire a 100-per-cent interest in three separate properties prospective for uranium mineralization in Newfoundland.
To acquire a 100-per-cent interest in the properties, Landmark must pay to the vendor $40,000 and 60,000 shares over four years for each property. The vendor will retain a 2.5-per-cent net production royalty on each property, which can be purchased by Landmark for $1-million per property.
The properties cover geologically prospective areas where lake sediment samples containing anomalous uranium concentrations have been reported by regional government geochemical surveys. Landmark is mobilizing an exploration crew to collect additional samples to confirm and refine the geochemical anomalies.
"These acquisitions reinforce our focus on uranium exploration," said Harmen Keyser, president of Landmark Minerals. "Newfoundland offers proven success in mineral exploration and mining, an excellent geological and geochemical database, and financial incentives for exploration programs."
