Well... got my MIS tickets in the mail yesterday. YeeeHaaaaa. Since they did a tire test over there and ran damn near 220 mph in the straightaways who knows what the hell to expect. One thing is clear...if the whether is right... gonna have a new track record... with or w/o knock out qualifying. Sooner or later if speeds continue to elevate there I believe the 'restrictor plate' demonic conversation will come into play until the track loses tons of grip. Said it before and I will say it again... they don't need 900 horse motors and those kind of speeds at that track to put on a good race... in fact I think it makes the racing more difficult. The aero at those speeds affects any car differently than at 180. I know there are discussions of lowering horsepower a lot... I think they need to do it.

Anyway... more importantly... wild card racing this weekend. Can't pick one here...its anyones call that makes it through the first 190 laps... and that fact is still only a maybe! They have wrecked them at lap 198 before...so noone is safe with 10 to go. I will still make a call for RPM and Ford to be strong. Typically not a Ford track, but Penske is leading the charge every week showing they could have won damn near all 8 races so far. Dinger is good plate racer... he would be my underdog to watch pick. Gordon is strong this year... I just might have to lean that way to pick someone who is strong without a win. However, I have to give this one to Junior. Its been 10 years since he last won there... he won at Daytona with good decisions and muscle. I think he will get win #2 this week.
