Alan Peterson Named Senior Vice President of Trade Shows - Experienced Trade Show and Event Manager Joins New Hope Natural Media

BOULDER, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 13, 2006--New Hope Natural Media, a division of Penton Media (OTCBB:PTON - News), is pleased to announce that Alan Peterson has been appointed Senior Vice President of Trade Shows. This position serves to lead all in-person events for the company, including Natural Products Expo East, Natural Products Expo West, (one of the top 100 largest trade shows in the U.S.), SupplyExpo, the Nutracon Conference and the Healthy Foods Conference as well as events in Europe and Asia.

Peterson, who has worked for more than 15 years in trade show and media management, will partner with senior staff to ensure effective management and growth in the trade show division of the company.

Before joining New Hope in 2006, Peterson was owner of Collaborative Service Group, which produced the International Association of Exposition Managers Exposition and Washington Mutual, Inc.'s State of the Group Annual Exposition.
Prior to establishing his own company, he was partner in Davis Peterson Collaborative, LLC, which launched, owned and managed the Luxury Kitchen and Bath Collection as well as a number of other events. In addition, Peterson worked for Miller Freeman, Inc. for 9 years in a variety of positions that included managing three top 200 Trade Show Week events and serving as executive manager and coordinator for CMP Asia and the SIC Group, Paris.
Peterson earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Southern Utah University.
