Voice recognition and interactive responses.
The specialized voice recognition technology incorporated in the Commander Advance has really advanced the-state-of-the-art recognition of conventional North American dialects. Commands can be voiced just by speaking in a normal voice, using two words per command to eliminate potential error. A high-quality, high-gain miniature microphone effortlessly picks up what the user says. The Commander will then respond by confirming commands and asking questions of the user. Security assistance.
The Commander can be set to request a preset security code at system turn on. If three wrong answers are given, the Commander automatically switches off and can also activate a stolen vehicle tracking system. Another deterrence is to have the Commander activate the horn if an unauthorized person attempts to use voice control.
Convenient vehicle functions.
Three vehicle-related* functions such as opening windows and wiper control can be activated by the Commander with voice commands.

MP3 playback.
In addition to voice control, adding the Commander Advance to a CD head unit without MP3 decoding ability will allow it to playback MP3s perfectly.

This function keeps track of up to five different event dates such as meetings and birthdays. The Commander will alert you to an impending event in case you forget about it. Even if you are listening to music or are playing a DVD, the Commander will make a brief interruption to remind you.
