Dmaze is right, poser talk is Malarkey. Rambling off that he's full of crap without knowing what they're talking about. Yes, Interactive Brokers allows shorting OTCs and Pinks just exactly how Dmaze says, and only a couple others.
The requirements mentioned and the accusations of him being a poser are based on greenhorn assumptions, not facts. The facts are, most brokers make shorting difficult, as the rookies accuse Dmaze of pretending that he didn't know that.
No doubt this is the first the accusers ever heard of I B (thats Interactive Brokers to spell it out since ya still might not have figured that out. Been trading with IB for years, and other brokers. As usual, know it all noobs are lurking around throwing out accusations based on knowing nothing about what they're talking about, pretending to be expert traders (calling themselves investors, which is another joke, they probably don't even get that either).
So, then real posers are revealed in this insatnce, and perhaps from this point on they might learn something and be checking facts before jumping the gun and throwing false accusations out about better traders than they, like Dmaze has been much longer than they came in out of the blue.
