How about this having something to do with the network that supports the augmented cognition optical recall (machine vision). So you have an app that recognizes objects and can recite what the object is. Now your phone is your "seeing eye dog". Also, Patrick speaks about creating a bionic eye that can be networked into the brain to relay machine vision to the brain. Heavy stuff.
