I guess it might be related to the number of posted videos. There must be some internal rule within Google (maybe not even explicit ones, just rules automatically generated by some Google bot, who knows ?) that affects the counter.

That's the thing when you use a third party service such as Youtube, you are entirely at their mercy.

Counter should be unlocked at some point though. The actual value is not displayed but in the background, the actual number is recorded by youtube and will appear soon or later.
