I also had Scottrade for years. I moved what I could to Etrade and have the majority of my VPOR holdings in Etrade. However I still have a Scottrade account with some SPLI/VPOR in it.
Etrade made the conversion with no problem for today's trading.
Hmmm, I wonder why Scottrade couldn't?

It is just my opinion but I think ST does this on purpose.
They have allot of short investors in penny stocks and NITE their MM is notorious for manipulating pennies downward. I have seen it again and again.

I'm sure you can imagine what kind of effect not allowing buys of SPLI/VPOR would have in the overall market since many investors (who don't know this about Scottrade) have accounts with them.

I would be very curious to know if they were allowing shorting of VPOR today while they were not allowing buys.
