Like most of the people here, I too have been following XKEM for
some time now. I work in the biotech field and from what I see, XKEM
has a bright future ahead of it....
Having completed the Phase I and Phase II trials, there is little
stoping this drug from going to market. Fast-track status is a given,
since the need is high, and there is no market leaders to compete
with. The sales will start the moment the regist. documents are
finished. Mind you, in Africa, like other most other countries, the
State buys the majority of all medications that enter is borders.
Hospitals,Insurance Groups and the Military are the largest biders and
distributors of medicine, which are all State owned. Once sales
initiate in one country, going through the rest of Afric is quite easy
throught the African Union, joint regulatory filings. Once approved in
one, the rest will follow. So interms of sales, it's not the people
that will buy, it's the state that will buy.
As of Sales, an Impact Assement is still low, ~20 Mil people Max
in Africa, probably another ~5-10 Mil world-wide. Thats low period.
Revenue would not exceed ~400 Mil per year, with a 5-15 % decline in
sales over the first 5 yrs and 20-40% for the next 5-10 yrs. So that
might help explain why the stock hasn't yet shot through the roof.
As for the production this June/July, most don't realize that
prior to initiating a Phase I/II/ or III trials the company has to
prove that it can produce sufficent active compound at the cGMP/cGLP
standards inorder to conduct these trials. In doing so, it provides an
insite into the facilites/production sites which must already be in
place!
As for initial capitial, the 4.1 Mil recently received is nothing,
to initiate this type of campaign you need ~15-25Mil to start, even
with production in Africa.
However, with a high demand for this drug and little to stop it, I
have no doubts that it will make the markets this summer. With a
market cap of ~8 Mil, this is very under valued.
