Baby Candy can be seen below. It was a wonderful birth but very tough on Candy. I had to do birth assistance by pulling the foal as little Miss Priss couldn't get her big head out. The mother has some external tearing but she'll be fine. Baby is nursing nicely. Candy went into about a 30 minute labor. We then used a process called Imprinting which has been perfected by DVM Miller. This training in the first 45 minutes after birth teaches the foal not to fear many things horses are instinctively scared of. You desensitize their entire bodies befor their ever allowed to stand. We were able to complete the process before Candy ever got to her feet, due to her exhaustion. The little girl is proof that life is wonderful thing. Never forget how precious it is!
Happily,
