I know this sounds like hype but my first reaction in reading the VRNG update to me sounds like VRNG is in settlement discussions particularly with ZTE.

They clearly state that the ZTE and VRNG hearing was "mutually agreeable" postponed. Which means it was postponed but if you notice no new date is given. Why? My speculation is that its postponed for settlement discussions and a new court date is therefore not needed yet.

Then in the article VRNG defines its willingness to license their patents in which they outline its commitment to FRAND. Why would they make this statement? Certainly all of the defendants know that VRNG would license them in a heartbeat. That paragraph really has me scratching my head. Could be that if they announce a settlement, this statement tells the other licensee's that VRNG is willing to be fair in negotiations. Its sort of the public offering of a "olive branch".

Call me a "hypster" if you want but Im just stating what I thought after I read the press release. Evidently the market took the news as positive since we had a nice uptick in the stock price.
