Need to remove mold caused by flooding? Read Safely Removing Mold Caused by Flooding.
Ozone generators are a great tool for the permanent removal of mold and mildew in the home or work place. Removing mold and mildew is easily done by "shocking" the area with a high concentration of Ozone. So high, in fact it is not safe for humans to occupy the same area while it is being treated.
A machine with the capability of producing at least 800 mg per hour of ozone should be selected as a mold and mildew remover. Smaller outputs simply are not going to do the job, unless the mold is confined to a very small area like air conditioning ductwork.
Almost all of the ozone generator models we manufacture produce the high ozone output needed to kill mold and mildew. Mold and mildew needs to "soak" in ozone for the best results. Just like dirty pots and pans are soaked in water, ozone needs to kill one layer after another of these nano size spores. We recommend each area be treated for approximately 30 hours or longer.
The best solutions for killing mold are:
FM-1 Ozone Generator
The FM-1 treats up to 500 sq. ft.
