Word to the wise. If you buy a big amount of shares and you own a big amount it would be wise to buy at the ask price because it is higher. This will spike up your portfolio and overall it would make sense because it also lowers the amount of shares that are in that ask bin. IF this happens it also increases the market cap and PPS shares would start climbing because people are paying the ask price. You can wait all day to get filled if yo continue to buy on the bid price. Smarts is the key here and this makes sense.
