I had the opportunity last night to attend the 56th Thalians Gala/Tribute to Smokey Robinson to benefit our wounded warriors (war veterans) of UCLA's Operation Mend. Bob, (MMR CEO) and his wife Kira (MMR Spokesperson) both played a large role in the night's festivities. Bob from what I can tell is the man behind the scenes that puts a lot of the nights events together, and Kira does that as well plus acts as host for the night.

I understand that there are a lot of critics of MMR the company, and that is for another day to argue the merits of (or lack of), but I really cannot say enough about the efforts put in by both Bob and Kira last night. To see and hear for example the wounded veteran who came on stage to talk about the many ways that Operation Mend has helped him and his fellow veterans was really touching. And while last night Smokey was there along with lots of other stars, some of whom performed, in the end the night was really about the veterans. And no matter what one may say about Bob the ceo, if any of you had been there last night you would have gone up to him and shook his hand for the very large part he played in putting the night together that raised the money it did for our wounded service men and women. I cannot stress that enough. He was even on stage a couple of times with Kira, which was pretty cool to see. And Kira? I can see now why she has hosted so many other events. She really does a great job and is so smooth in keeping things flowing and the funny one liners kept coming out. (great shoes too!)

I would encourage anyone who can to donate to this cause. I know I will be. And no, no one from the company asked me to write this. I wanted to because I was so impressed with the efforts Bob and Kira made to make last night a success and wanted to thank them for it.

And Bob? Great dance moves. The MMR CEO has a little rhythm to him!
