This is true. Also Titan wants SPORT to used for every possible intra-abdominal surgery. The trocar size will be smaller than 25mm.
I wonder how Titan will deal with future updated versions of SPORT. I think Intuitive's method is flawed. You can't blind side surgeons and hospitals. We don't have time to learn new technologies on a whim just because they decided when it works best for them. Hospitals don't have unlimited funds. By their own admission they view themselves as a technology company not a medical device company. They take their lead from Apple headquarters in California. That's why they rolled out the new Xi system like Apple unveils a new iPhone. People don't line up for surgical robots which are multimillion dollar investments for hospitals. I think this is wrong! Think Gilead....unsustainable!
