Okay I'm confused. An Intuitive high-ranking Specialty Sales Manager (only 8 in the company) told me that the Xi would not be needed by a hospital that is doing bread-and-butter general surgery. He was trying to calm me down since I was upset that the Xi (which is more expensive then the Si) came out after my hospital just bought an Si last year. He said the Xi was meant for high-volume hospitals that do a lot of colorectal and thoracic surgery. Now I found out that Intuitives Xi will be required for their single site technology? Single site surgery is most beneficial form bread-and-butter general surgery. I'm going on strike!
