The Pac-Car II is the world's most fuel efficient car using a hydrogen fuel-cell which obtained a fuel economy of 12,665 miles per gallon gasoline equivalent back in 2005. This world record is certified by the Guinness Book of World Records. In one event this car went nearly 13 miles on 1 g of hydrogen driving at an average speed of 19 mph. A current US penny weighs about 2.5 grams.
