I really disliked centipedes as a kid,

they were one of the few things that I couldn't reason with and find a way to pick them up. Everything else was cool, snakes being the coolest, you could even coax spiders to crawl onto the back of your hand and bees in a flower garden were ok. Anything with a hundred legs or more would automatically bite and they packed a punch.

The other untouchable was a praying mantis...ONCE!
