JMO jonnyo but 10 years is close to accurate from test tube to commercial. Kim has been at this almost a decade already.

As for taking 2 more years I dont see that happening but if it did why would that reduce the chance for success. Dupont has been at it a long time and couldnt do it so they stopped but people still want spider silk. If kim took 2 more years you think the world wouldnt want spider silk any more?

The market is there. Always has been and always will be until someone supplies that demand.

It wont take 2 years though. More like 2 months. Kim should be closing in on enough worms to produce a ton a month. The only question left is who will be buying it. If he can produce a ton a month and cant find a place to sell it for 2 years I would say you are right but I dont see that happening either.
