just catching up having been out all last night.

VW deal was mentioned in the management update but is not IMHO the "auto deal" why? Because that is just one modern plant which will have far fewer fork lifts than say an older Ford or GM plant. Earlier they said the announcement would be of the size of Walmart which means it has to be for at least 1000 units. Unless VW worldwide are committing and this was first call off contract.

8K filed which details what was in the small print of the shelf offering. very poor Q1 expected - hence stock price may well fall back to around 44 when announced, ideal time to get back in. BUT if you really want to see the future read this one paragraph:

o date, during 2014, the Company estimates that it shipped 158 units, and experienced no cancellations or adjustments to existing orders. The Company currently estimates that orders received in 2014 comprised a total value of approximately $80 million, consisting of 2,438 units.

They are targeting orders of $150m this year (so 5000 units) but only shipped 158 in Q1 that leaves a very large increase in shipments which should drive costs lower as volume price points kick in.

Factory has been upgraded to handle I believe 1000 units a month but can BLDP supply the cells fast enough? IMHO that is what the cash raise was for - pre-payment and secure the volume as Ballards other markets also start gaining volume.
