I think, based on the press release, that the sensor had to be replaced because some of the original parts are no longer being manufactured. "Overcoming hurdles including the recent discontinued supply of its silicon based fingerprint sensor. " Slightly worrying when you are using off the shelf technology without promise of enough orders to keep the manufacturer producing! However, to use a dirty word, I'm hoping for some decent movement going forward! GLTA!
