For starters, MSFT is not buying out Nokia. It is buying NOK's Devices & Services business. This deal between NOK/MSFT does not/will not affect VRNG in terms of the existing deal with Vringo and Nokia per the patent purchase agreement.
Nokia is selling the handset division and retaining its "Nokia" brand and all of its patents and patent applications worldwide. MSFT is going to license NOK's patents (the thousands of telecom & networking patents it owns that are NOT related to Vringo).
As you can see in the filing Nokia made last September, there is nothing written about Vringo or the deal Nokia made with Vringo. We already know that NOK has the right to transfer or assign its ownership and revenue stake in the VRNG patents to anyone it chooses (see: Nokia/Vringo Patent Purchase Agreement of August 2012 ). I highly doubt Nokia has done anything related to transfer or re-assigment of its rights per the VRNG agreement or that NOK will do so in the future. If something significant were to happen, we will almost certainly hear or read about it. It is fruitless to speculate about this as it won't happen covertly.
Going forward, nothing changes for Vringo... unless, of course, in the rare event MSFT becomes a target of VRNG's mobile patents. But I don't think they will because of the "past release" clause in the NOK/VRNG agreement. The deal with VRNG/NOK most likely precludes VRNG from going after the buyer of the NOK handset business (the indemnification passes along with the handset biz). Obviously I don't have inside info, I can only make educated and logical assumptions based on public information.
And this information seems to paint a rather clear picture.
