That's a ridiculously myopic statement if ever there was one. Obviously all of your digging has not been of much use. The vast majority of biotech companies are either run by-, or have been founded by scientists and/or MDs, and that includes pretty much all of the current, most successful ones. You need to improve your digging and research skills! The depth of the domain knowledge required for biotech far exceeds computers or IT-based businesses, and that is why one sees a preponderance of scientists and MDs in this business. The biotech business model is based on "running science as a business," and that's why it needs it. On a proportionate basis, how many CEOs do you know in the IT space who are "scientists?" I'd rather have a scientist that can put together a well-rounded team than a pseudo-business person like the current one who can't even build a team, forget about being able to spell biotechnology correctly!
