Donotunderstand - I said 'conspiracy' as a joke in the meeting and it got a laugh. You always have to look at context, but when you give the facts they do read like a conspiracy and it needs to be acknowledged to the listener because otherwise they think it for themselves.

"These guys are conspiracy nuts."

There are conspiracies within our government all the time - big, little and medium sized - innocent and malignant.
