Well, YES, I've heard of those that's why I posted this:

I keep reading the "joint venture partner" and the first thing that comes to mind is that a good portion of the company will either be transferred to the "joint venture partner" or that the company will be starting up another business.

And this:

And yes, a "joint venture partner" is different from a celebrity spokesperson.

We have evolved from expecting a celebrity spokesperson for a long time to now sharing the company with a celebrity in a "joint venture". Does anyone other than me think we shareholders should be informed as to what the hell is happening with the company we invested in?

And BTW, reading what was inserted in a press release and discussing its meaning is not "nit picking (sic)".
