Yes some people prefer less-than-accurate information that supports their desires than accurate information that supports reality.

Like you, I appreciate solid information regardless of implications. Anything else is wishful thinking and a bad investment strategy. Experienced traders, especially those that have made the mistake of filtering for favorable information and lost, welcome any information as long as it is accurate.
