Smarter Packaging: Connecting to the Connected Revolution

The "Internet of Things"—the concept of a network of billions of uniquely identifiable network-connected objects—has been a topic of discussion and interest for consumer products companies and packaging innovation professionals.
Applied DNA Sciences's insight:
More than 15 years ago, Kevin Ashton of Procter & Gamble coined the term "Internet of Things.' Flexible, organic, and printed electronics weaving together the physical stuff of our environment seemed like a dream then. Now, PARC, a Xerox company, predicts that the market for printed electronics and it's cousin, intelligent packaging, will reach $45 billion by 2016.

Please go to this link to read the details of Applied DNA Science partner DISC and it's advanced intelligent packaging initiative:

The DISC\APDN initiative is focused as an anti-counterfeiting technology, yet has far broader implications.
