There have been several theories, but the one that makes sense is that the 1 billion shares have been purchased at par value by the company from Ed Starrs, but are still in the process of being retired. I do not know how long it takes to retire shares, or the process that has to be taken, so this could be the reason for that IMO. Ed also stated that his broker was responsible for filing the Form 144, so the broker could have screwed up the numbers in the filing. It is all speculation, but Ed stated that he has no plans to sell any shares in the near future, or at this low of a price, so it is all pointless speculation until he does IMO
