If you look at the demonstration sign on the Panasonic TV it is clear that it shows that the NP-1 is streaming. The demonstration at NAB was a streaming demonstration, not progressive download. The NP-1 demonstrations at all trade shows have always been streaming, not download, not local play. Further, it was streaming using H.264, with no quality loss.

Bandwidth is not a problem, and demonstrations at 10mbps were shown at NAB, and 10mbps and 6mbps at CES. Anyone with decent cable modem can stream 4K video without an issue. Network requirements are going down as well, soon you'll be able to stream 4K as low as 4mbps.

Comcast offers 25mbps for $29.99 a month
AT&T offers 18mbps for $44.95 a month

Both would offer plenty of bandwidth to stream 4K without an issue from any of the 4K providers including NanoTech.

Akamai is making a big push to streaming providers as they have one the best edge networks, where they will cache files allowing for the best user experience.

NanoTech, Netflix, YouTube, and many others have all "bet the farm" on streaming with great confidence that the networks can handle the bandwidth needed for 4K.
