Go w/ Schwab, scottrade or amertrade. Stay away from sharebuilders, they are by far the most expensive. They not only charge you a surcharge when you buy shares, but they charged up to 15% when you sell. I have a very small account with sharebuilders now and I will close it down soon. I also had another account with sharebuilders which this past Thursday I decided to transfer over to Charles schwab and that I'm waiting for to clear before I can start trading. I really didn't know about these fees when I first started investing some 9 years ago until recently when I started making money mainly mmj stocks. The companies I mention above only chaged a flat fee. I sold some shares two weeks ago just to reinvested back in and believe it or not, I was charged a healthy $2700 dollars commision. Sharebuilders is very easy to used and it's only good if you have shares over a dollar, they only charged you aflat fee for those...I hope this help. Good luck!!!
