One of two things: , a number longs got caught in this naz correction and had to pay off their margin accounts by raising cash from elsewhere, like with non margin stocks from here. buying on margin should be illegal, it allows bearish elements to reign supreme every once in awhile. Or the MM is working off a block. My guess is the former. The latter should be accounted for. And last but not least, some young traders have inherited money and have little or no control over their emotions. Not to say it doesn't happen to older folks too. Didn't really answer it specifically. Oh well.
