redlepper ... Perhaps ...

"he should be looking to establish himself as a guy who can do things ..."

he's looking to do just that now, at least that's what I think may be happening.

If you look at his background, I think you will find it quite impressive, with one exception and that being his first public company, Mimvi, Inc. [MIMV], now Adaptive Medias [ADTM], which in my opinion, could possibley turn out to be quite successful. Even SeeqPod was on its way to success, but some of the largest record companies got together to sue both his company and him personally. Even though these suits were eventually throw out of court, Franks had no other choice but to file for bankruptcy and sell his five (5) SeeqPod patents.

Now, fast forwarding to the present, I just recently found a reason to believe we might be hearing something from Pimovi fairly soon.

I noticed that two (2) of his patents have recently been published ...

I'm certainly not positive, so the following is essentially guesswork:

1. Publishing these patent applications starts the examination process by the Patent Office with a decision, granted/not granted, to be rendered within the next two (2) to four (4) years [reportedly the average time it takes]. By publishing these patents the inventor establishes the date that would take precedence over any infringing patents filed subsequent to that date.

2. It appears to me that the technology defined in these patents could possibly be utilized by Pimovi despite the fact that the Company filed a provisional patent on 3-7-13 entitled, "Video Distribution Service".

3. I really don't know too much about Mr. Grant other than his strong suit seems to be the movie/entertainment business, but it has been indicated in Chancellor's SEC filings for some time now that he's been looking for acquisitions and I don't believe he would be funding Pimovi and Fuelist if he didn't think there was a pretty good chance of them both becoming successful ... the oil business aside. Also, it might be possible that all of the grunt work has essentially been done like it apparently has been with Fuelist. Now, it could be all that remains is establishing relationships with partners and then bringing the product(s) to market.

Anybody have a different take as to why these two patent applications were recently published and why Mr. Grant would be funding CHAG's two majority owned companies ??
