Discovery’s decision to devote a considerable portion of corporate focus and capital towards an Industrial Hemp channel was formed through identifying, leveraging and developing existing contacts and market opportunities for hemp related products in Canada and the USA. The Company has begun implementing its vertically integrated farming, processing and sustainable usage of industrial hemp through a cooperative effort which enables all parties throughout the process to prosper and achieve their independent and collective goals.

Paramount to the Company’s sustainability model is that revenue is generated through the processing of all parts provided from the hemp plant: the seed, the bast or fibers, and the hurd or woody core. The application and eventual granting of a license to grow and process Industrial Hemp with an independent network of growers as well as servicing the processing needs of existing licensed growers in Canada fulfills this sustainability concept.

The Company will continue to source and ultimately execute cooperative agreements with like minded farmers that would guarantee the harvest supply through in-house processing capability. Discovery looks to position itself with access to existing and emerging product distribution points within the processed hemp material industry.

End user products will include hemp oil and high protein cake derived from seed (grain); processed fiber for use in industrial, construction and building materials and; scalable ethanol production derived from the remaining or unusable hemp biomass through the harvesting or processing. This excess ethanol can be sold for profit thus reducing grower’s net input costs.

Discovery is assembling a team of acknowledged experts and advocates capable of facilitating a turn-key model for farmers/growers. This model will allow farmers and growers to seamlessly tap into the required knowledge base needed to transition their existing resources into Hemp cultivation. Some requirements Farmers need to understand encompass: 1) how to choose the best strain of seed to grow in their geographic location based upon their desired harvest, 2) how to best harvest the crop, 3) irrigation issues, 4) expected outcomes, and 5) profit potential, to name a few.
