So you're really saying that HPNN is paying $150,000.00 to the manufacturer

In the real world that is the way it works. The company wanting a product manufactured signs a LOI and gives the manufacturer money. You know, so the company manufacturing the product doesn't get stuck with the cost of producing the product.

I use to work for a company that manufactured modems (yes, a thousand years ago). We produced modems for IBM.

NEVER did that company pay IBM for the "honor" of producing a product for IBM.

Thinking about it logically, one can see how it would be a bit difficult for a manufacturing company to make money if they PAID the person/company that wanted a product produced.

As PRManiac points out, it was very clever wording on that great fluff PR. Puts even more Fluff in it, doesn't it.

IF a LOI was signed.. the money came from Peter Michaels, CEO/President/Secretary/Director of Hop-On,Inc and went to the manufacturer.

So much for the product being produced in good ol' U.S.A.

Which gets back to this statement in the PR with MSFT and HPNN

We are pleased that the list of companies benefitting from Microsoft’s Android licensing program now includes a U.S.-based manufacturer of affordable cellular technologies,

Sure sounds like Hop-on manufacturers phones in the US, doesn't it.
