Elmer, the end user may be dumb (uninformed) but if there are a series of QHZ ratings which look bad to reviewers then the word will spread among corporate buyers and technology radio shows. It would be a disaster, just when AMD has the right product for the corporate market. Since the QHZ ratings have held up so well to this point, AMD can get away with one processor with a dubious rating (when compared to the P4).

Every AMD long should be ready to hold the feet of the company to the fire when they start screwing up. If stockholders were more responsible then we wouldn't have the fiascos of recent years!

Now should Intel market the 3.0GHz P4 as a P4-3500 and match BS with BS? Maybe so?

When one compares the IPC of PIII and Centrino with P4, there are many who would argue that they already went down that road...
