The other thing I wanted to add was that I see this "affordable state of the art systems" being tossed around, and I don't know exactly where this fits into that... but it brings to my mind the fact that most solar systems being installed residentially (I think, don't have states right now)are being leased, and owned by the installation company.
So my thoughts are that, if the installation company is owning all these rigs, it's just a math equation for the lifespan of the product. They are going to be buying huge quantities, so cost will be huge as well. But they wouldn't care about the latest or greatest. For them it's about "how cheap will it be to produce kilowatts for X number of years"...
I just can't see these being offered at anything above others' prices right now. This mission statement of the company is about bringing affordable solar to the world...right?
