Stocks in bear markets always sheds as much in the last sell-off before the rally, as it does during the entire sell off. So if you bought the stock at $5 and now it trades at .50 that's a 90% loss. You have to understand it's also realistic for somebody else to buy in at .75 and they can easily loose 50%-75% in a couple days right before it heads higher, It happens all the time, over and over again to make it a bottom that will stick, we need to see the new set of investors loose as much as the longstanding investors, in a very short time. It would be the final capitulation that would be the do all and end all for the current bear market Banro is experiencing. But what is happening now to the stock, is not from the price of Gold falling, but because the stock market is on the brink of total collapse ans it's starting to sell off. If indeed the market is selling off, like I suspect, there will be no safe-havens, even the golden babies i suspect will be thrown out with the bathwater. Gold price can still rise, however unless it's a dramatic take-off up past $1450, I expect troubled waters ahead and gold stocks may or may not participate.
