G$, I must say I find statements like that astonishing. There's absolutely nothing about Dr.Berger that is any different than any other smart, agressive, ambitious founder/scientist/CEO, in any other successful entrepreneurial biotech.
The notion that "the street" doesn't like Dr.Berger is clearly belied by Dr.Denner investing in and joining Ariad's board. He is clearly a creature of "the street", i.e. an investor, and he had no problems with HB. I have yet to see one scintilla of evidence that having HB at the helm is in any way a negative factor.
I understand that some might prefer a quick sale, and a small profit in the near term, and that does not seem to be HB's game. I'm in for the long haul (a couple of years at least), and I do believe that persistence will result in substantially better returns. So, ... I have no problem with Dr.Berger, and I assume the financing problem will be solved in the next six months.
