For the last time, to date, CVX never approached ERHC.

It is like with BP, BP never approached ERHC.

As regards the CVX story, try to look at every possible interest one may have to circulate this message. To give a few examples.

1. CVX spreads the rumour to invite ERHC to approach CVX, instead of CVX approaching ERHC. In case of the latter CVX would need to make a proposal to ERHC, instead ERHC making a proposal to CVX (in case of the former.)

2. A party trying to prevent sinopec from entering the scene. How, by making the so-called conversations public. When ERHC shows up with Sinopec, the JDA may question why not CVX (you are in talks aren't you?).

3. Have your heard anything about Sinopec discussing Block 2, before a MOU was signed.

4. If CVX is able to keep the size of their find in Block 1 real close to the chest, why where they so sloppy with this info.

Just a few angles, obviously there are many more.

I rather stick to the facts. There was no conversation.
