Of course. In a weak market you've got to do something to move the glut of lowend crap that nobody wants. AMD will be forced to follow suit. The high end is a bit more insulated from price wars. AMD needs to focus on the X2 market. I'm not sure going after the FX market is worth it, as you end up with alot of Semprons attempting to make a few FXs.

It may not help with marketshare goals, but it'll help keep ASPs propped up.
