Even though any responsible "COO" would do so, you can bet he won't be flying Coach, staying at Motel 6, and eating at McDonalds. I would think at least something more along the lines of First Class, The Royal Sonesta, and Commander's Palace.
Someone dumped some ballast from the boat an hour before close. I wouldn't call that loading the boat since there has always been buyers waiting at three. Either dilution, or someone possibly needing some cash at any price for a margin call. If it continues the rest of the week, I would bet on dilution.
Fiat, just wondering what happened to your recent assertion where you "very definitively" said that a US/Europe Nicosan nutraceutical would sell for "at least" five times current Nigerian prices, and "at least" fifty times those prices if it were sold in the US/Europe as a prescription? Why have you lowered your gueestimates so drastically? Thanks so much.
Very true. Many people don't look at SCD as a terminal disease, when in fact the numbers say otherwise. Hope you made it through the wet and windy visitor alright. We had some monster trees uprooted which luckily blew away from the house, and some floor tile damage as well but that's about it. We finally got power last night. We took a drive down 45 almost to Galveston yesterday and it was pretty torn up the whole way, but not quite as bad as I had expected. I know it's a different story closer to the water. GL.
Good post Diamond. Some people are either not very sharp, or they are clearly in Swifty's back pocket if they do not express and recognize what he has done to this company over the past 5 quarters. It has been more than obvious for months that he is in this for himself and his cronies. The common shareholders seem to be totally irrelevant to him.
Or he could just be enjoying a luxury vacation at the expense of xkem shareholders. Some uninformed people think that New Orleans accomodations consist of FEMA trailers, Motel 6's, and fast food joints but I assure you that is not the case.
You're right about that. We in this country appear to be going through a "cleansing period" where only the truly strong will survive. We hit bad times at the beginning of the century, but many of the excesses of the 90's still carried over to today. This downturn could be pretty mean. I definitely decided that it was time to close out my secondary WAMU checking account yesterday before they go under. Insured or not, I don't want to sit around and wait for the government to give me the five grand I had in that account sometime next year. xkem ain't exactly safe, but for those of us who are already parked here, I suspect that we will ride it out. It would be SOOOO much nicer if they had 300 million outstanding rather than 3 billion+. I've been doing this long enough to know that the smaller your piece of the pie, the smaller your odds of success. GL to us all.
If only that were true. eom
Yeah, and pgpm's former "outside" accountant and "independent auditor" is now the president of Arcland Energy. That alone is justification for suspicion.
Yeah, pretty depressing times not just for xkemers, but for most of the country in general. I rode out Ike just north of Houston, and things turned out much worse than I expected down there. I decided that I've become fond of electricity and clean water, so we took off and headed up here to Dallas. It'll be quite awhile before the Gulf Coast gets back to normal.
"As many as four million patients worldwide suffer from sickle cell disease."
For as long as you have been posting on this board hinchback, I would think that you would know off the top of your head that there are four million patients in Nigeria alone that suffer from SCD. Not worldwide. Please let me know if I have been misinformed all of these years. Thanks.
While you guys are praying for xkem, you might want to put a word in for TexasRambler. He's in the crosshairs of Ike down on the coast near Freeport. I'm around 90 miles north of that area in Conroe, and I just heard that we're expecting 90-100 mph winds this far north, which kind of tells you how bad it is going to be down at ground zero. GL.
Thought we would have had a little more selling the last couple of days. I guess most of the current holders are sold out at these levels. I've started the old "blood in the streets" buying process myself. Not in xkem, but in selected other beaten down stocks. After I'm finished buying other stocks, I may just throw down here on a few million shares with whatever change I have left in my brokerage accounts. That is, as long as it stays down here at around a twentieth of a penny. It's not that I have confidence in old Swindle, er I mean old Swifty, but I feel like something will break here one way or another sooner rather than later. GL.
Probably free Nicosan for life. He'd have to wait in a very long line for anything else.
I guess he is planning his own little golden parachute after culminating his illustrious career by destroying this company. Personally, I would rather see him receive a golden something else from a thousand Nigerians simultaneously.
I thought it was Stevie Ray Vaughn who said that?
Hell, I just got back from Fort Collins a couple of weeks ago. Wish I knew he was there. Put me on the list also. That is, as long as you're not fiat in disguise. LOL!!!
Not surprising that the coward issued the 8k late on a Friday afternoon when most aren't watching. Wonder what kind of a fun summer he's been having since he obviously has been doing nothing to help solve this company's problems. I guess he's just been lounging around waiting for the deregistration letter before he drops the final hammer. Absolutely amazing that he is still around.
In theory at least, it sounds good for me. Of course we would have to be well organized and work together closely, but 100 million shares at these prices would only be around 50 grand a piece. Unfortunately, I don't think that we could turn half the shares in the company at these price levels anytime soon. If we tried to buy it up at around .0005, I'm afraid that it would take more time than this company has to give. A shareholder list would be a good place to start with any takeover plan. Some of the bigger holders would probably be more than willing to pledge their shares to the cause. Hey lmf, tell Pandey to get that list and start making phone calls. I hope he began that process long ago.
A shareholder wouldn't need 50+ percent to force a meeting, but I sure hope your theory is correct. The $ amount of shares trading isn't exactly staggering, but there sure has been an uptick in volume coming from somewhere. Sure isn't coming from me. LOL!
Get the rope and invite them to visit your treehouse. People have been known to fall out of those things.
They could pay a kid a hundred bucks and have a website up and running this week. It kind of tells the story on their lack of interest in building this company. Not even Swift could be this incompetent.
Yep. I have no doubt that there is a scheme being executed here. I'm also sure that there are a few other choice words which begin with "sc" that many here would like to apply to what management has done with this company.
Go xkem!
LOL! In case anyone gets a call (email) from an obvious Nigerian, who claims that you have won a 1 million pound lottery, I am just giving a heads up. I know that most here are too savvy to fall for this crap, but the girlfriend of a close friend of mine got one of these communications a couple of days ago and was almost hooked into it before I jumped in. It is hard to believe that they can find people who are gullible enough to give them eight hundred bucks to set up an account for their "big UK lotto winnings." Then again, we did all invest in xkem now didn't we? LOL!!!
Yeah, same old xkem story. Someone pumped it up a little and then the immediate dump. You Lake Jacksonites aren't going to run from the hurricane and do a Rita if it comes your way are you? I'll be riding it out on Lake Conroe just like the last time. Last time it seemed like the entire Houston area headed for the hills. I thought it was funny when I was the ONLY car driving south on Hwy. 6 the night before the hurricane hit. Total chaos for everyone headed out of town. Have a nice weekend, and don't forget to duck if it comes our way.
I heard that they were the professors, and provide hands on training for their students at the xkem facility. Now I know what they have been doing with their time for all of these months.
I would like to KNOW that it's going to go up again, but there is always the possibility that bottom feeders will be caught with there pants down after a "game is over" PR from Swifty. Just depends on your risk tolerance for a stock which has clearly been brought to death's doorstep.
Even if you are the reincarnation of Ken Lay, you have officially been nominated as a superior successor to Swifty. Once you're in office, I will be happy to audit the books pro bono. Uh, that is if they actually have any books.
So we have a drug here that supposedly works, yet after all of this time and money they cannot figure out a way to produce and distribute it to the the needy in significant quantities? Exactly what has Swift been doing all of this time? Spending his days dealing with lawsuits? If he wants to be a lawyer he should go to law school, because he sure as heck knows nothing about running a company. I literally wouldn't hire him to manage a lemonade stand. Btw, what happened to the big CEO search that was supposed to begin here over a year ago? I guess old Swifty decided he could hang around here and do alright for himself after all.
What next? Is he going to decide that he wants to become the next Red Adair and start putting out oilfield fires? He just decides to jump from one specialization to another overnight like it is nothing. Ridiculous.
Nothing Atlantic, and nothing Gulf of Mexico either. Same old BS.
Very good! Someone finally expressed what is going on here! As I have been saying for YEARS, that is the only way to dump these fools.
I don't believe the original intent was for this company to be a scam, but I certainly believe that shareholders are currently being scammed by management. Current management needs to be dumped out of the car and left in a ditch on the side of the road. IMO, that and strong support from the Nigerian Federal Government, are the only plausible means for this company to overcome all of the damage that has been done here.
He has the ball alright, but unfortunately he ran out of bounds with the ball long ago. I don't think he wants to deal with the fact that this is supposed to be a team game and the shareholders are part of that team. He needs to be pulled from the game ASAP before the game is over.
I see that things have settled down a bit around here since I vacationed after the 200 million day. Been running around the mountains in Colorado and was only able to get an occasional quote. I was hoping that something real might come out of that run, but it appears that it was the same old deal. Still hoping for federal govenment involvement sometime soon. States are nice, but they'll probably only result in a relative trickle compared to a federal prepurchase. BOL.
This company is tighter lipped than the CIA so no one on the outside really knows. We got that nice close which is an encouraging sign for next week. The flippers didn't flip. Looks like some legitimate buying this afternoon.
If there truly is some positive news leakage out there, I suspect we will have a very nice close. People in the know are going to want to get in before next week. Impressive volume, but resistance to the upside is going to be tough unless the news is fantastic. Let's hope this one is real.
We're waiting for you to buy, buy, buy until you push us to that five dollar mark. Come on Chilly! Take us xkem'ers to the promised land! I know you can do it!
My grandmother makes more money on pumpjack royalties in West Texas than these guys make period. No kidding. Pitiful numbers for a company that has been around this long and issued this many shares. If Pinedo doesn't monetize those leases for the benefit of the pgpm shareholders who paid for them, than I suspect that they'll be hell to pay around here.
Sometimes a dog gets so many fleas that he jumps in the lake to try and shake them off and drown them. xkem has lots of fleas and they are currently being drowned. The fleas need to find a gator to chase that dog out of the lake before it's too late.
