dude its like stocks, but your holding it in your freakin hands. something good to consider using as a hedge.
gold is a little outta pocket for me, but based on percentage, i think silver will be a better return. i like the fact that silver is a consumed metal (used in laptops, cell phones, medical use etc) and its scarce. gold is hoarded and is definitely not scarce.
gold and silver are Gods original currency, then evil greedy men started printing BS notes not back by nothin
just lookin out man!

UPDATE 2-U.S. online holiday spending up 12 pct
U.S. online holiday sales up 12 pct to $27 bln
* Computer hardware like handheld tablets led growth
* Cyber Monday likely to become heaviest spending day
NEW YORK, Dec 19 (Reuters) - U.S. online sales are up 12 percent to $27.5 billion so far this holiday shopping season compared with a year ago, according to research firm comScore. (SCOR.O)
In the Nov. 1 through Dec. 17 period, four individual days surpassed $900 million, led by "Green Monday" on Dec. 13 with $954 million and "Free Shipping Day," Dec. 17, with $942 million, according to comScore.
"Free Shipping Day punctuated an exceptional week in which consumers spent more than $5.5 billion online, representing a 14 percent increase from last year," said comScore Chairman Gian Fulgoni in a statement.
"We have likely already witnessed the peak spending day of the year, which means that Cyber Monday should emerge as the season's heaviest online spending day for the first time in history," Fulgoni said.
The research firm said that computer hardware including Apple Inc's (AAPL.O) iPad and laptop computers drove most of the growth. (Reporting by Jennifer Saba; Editing by Diane Craft and Matthew Lewis)

some apmex commentary
COMMENTARY: Gold was up slightly today, but still down for the week. Jim Cramer is saying to buy gold on these dips. Mr. Cramer is emphatic that gold is now a currency and not a commodity. In addition to the many other reasons for buying gold, he states that supply and demand will contribute to increasing prices and we should see $2000 an oz within five years. I have spoken before that as traders book profits before December31, gold prices may continue to dip. However, these same traders might get right back in come January 3. Now may be the time to buy.
