"tomorrow is another day"...(Scarlett O'Hara)
Don't you mean "I'll think about that tomorrow?"
Zeev, do you still follow IGT? It isn't participating in this rally the last two days.
Beautiful! Heading up to the lake soon to do the houseboat thing with a bunch of old chums. No animals allowed, including children. Only adult animals. >G<
I will warn the proper authorities! (G)
Now I want one!
Last time I looked there was lots of snow. Lots of water in the Lake too - just about full.
It sounds like dog that drools a lot.
New CEO at PROX and changes underway. They just had another layoff of 200 people I think and they are consolidating offices. I don't own any and I haven't been watching it lately.
Zeev, are you planning on playing COCO before earnings tommorrow am?
Oops, I misunderstood as the topic was Jerry earning SS benefits. If he is doing well on trading then most of his SS benefits will be taxable. That is not to say he has to pay SS on his trading gains. On if trading gains are SS taxable, I agree with your first post but I am no expert.
No, I am not listed as a trader on my return.
It doesn't matter if trading gains are on Sch C or D, as both contribute to adjusted gross income. To determine if SS benefits are taxable, look to your filing status (single, married, etc) and provisional income. Provisional income is adjusted gross income excluding SS income plus tax-exempt interest, plus foreign income plus 50% of SS benefits.
Lets say you are married filing jointly, then your SS benefits aren't taxable if provisional income is less than $32,000. If provisional income is over $44,000, then taxable SS benefits are the lesser of 85% of SS benefits or 85% of provisional income over $34,000 plus the lesser of $6,000 or 50% of SS benefits. There is another calc if provisional income falls between $32,000 and $44,000 (then the rate is 50% of SS benefits of 50% of the excess of provisional income over $32,000)
Clear as mud, but you are smart enough to figure it out.
Hope this helps
OT I haven't had Junior's of Brooklyn's cheesecake but I think you can get it at Grand Central Station in the wonderful food court downstairs. Happy eating.
UBET as in Foxx's Ubet chocolate syrup? I haven't seen that in a while. It makes the best egg cream sodas. ummmm
Looks like I sold PII too soon.
Adding more AGM to the core?
proforma name, thats a good one. lol
Its Rick Hill at NVLS, not Chuck.
Zeev, any thoughts on DNA here and the bios in general? Thanks.
I don't think anything much has happened at the Concord yet. The Catskills are lovely (I grew up there) but it is still pretty depressed. I stopped in at the Nevele Grande this past winter holday and the place can certainly use some upgrading too. It was packed though, with guests ready to celebrate the New Year.
Zeev, I was also filled at 5.16 on SKX with a higher limit. Make that two lucky traders....
Ice is not a mineral
Softechie, this beer on me thing reminds me of a sign outside a bar in Truckee, CA announcing "free beer tomorrow"
You can gift $11,000 now tax-free. (Last year too I think)
Hi Zeev, Do you follow THQI anymore? Do you think this move is short-lived and topping out with the rest of the SOX? Thanks in advance. Add me to the list of Zeev fans. By the way, I have been very co-operative in my new marriage. :)
OT Berkeley is not like La Jolla and Honolulu IMO. Although 4th Street is more edgy. You have checked out San Francisco, Santa Cruz/Capitola already I take it? I really can't think of "hip" places in the Bay Area, but I am getting old...Good luck with the new place.
Zeev, I think you used to have CAH in the core but kicked it out awhile ago. It has been behaving nice this week. Any thoughts or is it no longer on your radar?
Thank you for all you do.
