If we've already experienced the January effect and things usually slow down at the end of March then where do we go from here? I'm starting to think I should be brushing up on my Naz and Amex stocks now
CORV: another Naz play with an interesting chart EOM
The market *is* slow: 231,000,000 total on the otc with only an hour to go. This is the kind of volume you would expect in september. About 1/2 of what it needs for stocks to really start running IMO.
Crookk - re WLGS: I've followed this company for several years and have very mixed feelings about it. On the one hand, they've accomplished so much that (on the surface at least) the current price is a joke. For goodness sakes - they have the rights to almost a BILLION dollars in spectrum in some key global markets - India, Thailand, Brazil, Argentina, Peru, the US. But they are the littlest fish if a very big pond. Their competitors are much larger and don't play fair as is evident in Argentina. IMO - over the last year the stock has been shorted by somebody with *very* deep pockets. Financing for communications, especially for small companies, is very difficult right now. So its likely that we'll see more dillution this year.
FWIW - I just bought back in today on a lark. 5000 @ .245. Might add more if we see green. Going into February I don't see much downside. Could be a great momo soon as a lot of folks have played this one in the past.
Thnx Bernard - if it doesn't gap I'm out early. Have felt that it is undervalued for some time. Great news today but it has a history of tanking after a good day. We shall see
WLGS - Input appreciated. Nice news/ big volume. Holding near its high.
Doug
sounds good, toon. thanks (eom)
Thanks - hope eveyone is able to relax and enjoy the holiday. And be sure to steer clear of political arguments with the in-laws LOL. Take care eveyone.
FYI - Couldn't figure out were all these shares in between the spread were coming from and why there was no bid support. Checked 144's and sure enough - 100k block early this month from Modafferi. Hopefully, those shares have been fully absorbed.
Trading on this stock has been verrrrry screwy over the last 3 days. On the surface it looks like MM's are doing their best to shut out buys coming in while taking turns boxing their positions. Any other opinions?
These links are just food for thought. I found it interesting because it points to the fact that the Undersea Resort is not a stand alone endeavor but part of a budding industry - something that I didn't consider when I first took a position in this stock. The more I looked the more I realized that Cala Corp. is at the forefrunt of something inevitable.
Keep in mind the backgrounds of the two gentlemen just hired to oversee the undersea project as well as the contracted architect. Also, next time someone tells you that this is an unrealistic project, just show them what Hilton is doing.

This one is just for kicks. Ours will be WAY cooler

Thanks DD - that's excellent news. Was planning to ask Cala if there would be an investors packet that would include drawings but it looks like that won't be necessary. I agree - schematic drawings will go a long way to helping us understand what is going on.
Will post some links pertinent to the Undersea Hotel when I get home tonight.
Well I'll be darned. There goes the Naz. Any short term predictions on what this means?
Especially like the credentials of our new president and chairman of operations, Mr. Del Favero and Mr. Hunter.
Both scientist-engineers, both with connections to NASA and both with extensive experience in venture capital operation. One can only speculate on the types of connections these people have but is seems very promising.
I'ts moderated, meaning that any post that the chairman (DD) feels to be inappropriate can be removed immediately. This in and of itself is a powerful deterrent for spammers, scammers, bashers, etc. from posting in the first place
Hey Matt,
Will a RT quote system be connected to the message boards in one window? I've always felt that was an advantage that RB has had over all other boards. The quotes on SI are delayed and they don't often don't work very well. I've noticed that people tend to use RB more during the trading hours and then go to other boards after hours. It'd be nice to see that change.
Yeah, I remember when that happened. I thought about chasing it when it started to move but decided not to.........of course if I had it probably would have tanked. LOL
As far as StockPatrol goes, I guess my point is that it really doesn't matter wether they post negative "info" on CCAA or not. If they want to create doubt, let them try. They'll need an audience first, though. But don't be the one who gives it to them!
Remember, when your dealing with bashers there are only two options: play their game or don't play at all. Even if you win the arguments you will still lose the war. Thats JMHO.
I can certainly understand why people get upset when a bogus site "profiling" stocks starts to pick on our beloved CCAA. But I personally think that this is very overblown. The reality is that this site doesn't have any impact on our day to day stock price unless we allow it to. Its so poorly writen that even an amature investor with very limited facts should be able to see right through it. Its primary purpose is to set the stage for bashers as a source of credibility and to divert the attention away from company fundamentals. If board members start to give it undue attention, then it only takes one protagonist to throw doubt and at that point the whole board goes down like a sinking ship.
Sounds good to me too. I lived in Italy for about 9 mo. when I was in college and believe it or not, the Italian government has more red tape than ours. (well, at least just as much) Things move verrrrry sloooowly there and there isn't much pressure from buisness to speed things up. But I've got to believe that if the gov't wants to divest their interest in Costanza then they probably also have a good reason to do it expeditiously.
Sprint, when you spoke to Mr. Cala, was there any mention of whether or not there was an absolute deadline for the sale of Costanza? Oct. 1 is a Sunday so I'm supposing that was just an arbitrary date.
I don't mind waiting, since we are already have some good things ramping up, but I'm not so sure about the larger investment community.
Thanks for taking the time to write that post. Very insightfull.
