I was looking to pick up some more shares in the 3's as well. Doesn't look like Alex is going to let that happen though.
I'm naturally a skeptical person and therefore I can understand the concerns about the recent news developments. However, I personally feel that the need to find alternative energy sources is a global need. Just because others outside of Canada or the U.S. are forward thinking enough to see that this technology will help them realize independency from the dwindling oil reserves, doesn't mean that we should immediately think scam. Businesses around the world are continually looking for ways to be more efficient. If you owned a multi-million dollar business that relied heavily on petroleum to operate, I imagine that you too would be looking for ways to escape the instability of the petrol market. It doesn’t matter what country you are in. I actually expect many other parts of the world to follow suit. That’s where a globally minded company like ACMG has an advantage over a company like USSE. We are poised to meet the needs of many with our licensing strategy.
I'm 100% confident that this latest development is truthful and accurate. Sure, the release of this news was timed so keep the share price up while the USSE deal was laid to rest, but who cares. That's business. I am excited to be a part of this company. We've had our setbacks, but we will be taking this company to a new level in the very near future. So hold on and hang in there.
Yes, because it's so much better to have the board cluttered with WEEEEEEEEEEE and To da Moon!!!
You have a good point though and I'll try to honor it.
"I am one of principal and anyone who would give up some freedom for a little security; deserves neither."
Frankly you don't know what you are talking about. You live in a world where you balance your freedoms with security everyday. Don't believe me? When is the last time you have gone through a security checkpoint at the airport? Tell me you are not sacrificing some freedoms so that you can feel all warm and fuzzy as you fly to Vegas to lose your money at the casino.
You should revalutate the world that you live in. You're not as free as you think you are cowboy. You give up your freedoms everyday so that you can live in your little protective bubble.
I guess you deserve "neither".
Very...Feel like I'm in high school again.
Jersey, is this lastest development one that you were expecting hear at this time, or is this in addition to what you were looking forward to? If you respond, I hope that I can find your post amidst the dizzying number of meaningless postings.
Alex has to believe at this point that anything but the announcement of a concrete, well-foundationed financing plan, is going to be disasterous for his/our dreams. As I see it, he has no choice but to lay this issue to rest once and for all in the next news update. Hence, the long delay in posting the news.
I share your enthusiasm Jersey, but I just hope that we can still meet the contract deadlines with the amount of time it is taking to put together the finincing. I starting to feel that everyday is critical now. I hope that the next piece of news will lay the financing questions behind us so we can see what this technology is truely made of.
Geez. Back to the 2's again. If the saying "no news is good news' is accurate, we should be in excellent shape. Am I the only one on the edge of my seat waiting to hear some news?
Snow. I really don't know what to think about the MOU between USSE and ONYI and what that means in respect to ACMG. I do find it very interesting however the timing of Alex's e-mail to ACMG shareholders. I can't help but feel that he could be preparing us for an announcment that the MOU between ACMG and USSE is going to fall through which would support the quote that you posted. Interesting timing.
Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts.
I guess I find it very interesting how Alex was in negotiations with two financial groups a couple of months ago only to scrap the negotiations to sell 60% of the company to USSE instead. To me this implies that he is either desperate to get things going because the other negotiations are not going anywhere or that he truely believes that this current deal with USSE has added benifits which justify selling a controlling percentage of the company. I personally feel that it may be a little of both.
That said, I'm still holding and will continue to hold/add because I believe that Alcar has so much potential. I'm hoping, as I'm sure most who are long on this position are, that a sale to USSE is the catalyst that we need to get the ball rolling.
Jersey. After rereading the FAQ section of the Alcar website, I'm compelled to direct a couple of questions your way. First and foremost, are you under the impression that we can still have our first reactors online by the summer of 2007 as stated on the Alcar website?
I wanted to remind everybody that Alex stated that "our O/S will reach 150M with a public float of 50M." If I remember correctly this update to the webpage was posted only about a month ago. Is it safe to assume that Alex was already in negotiations with USSE when this information was posted to the website? If so, I see how you can claim no dilution.
I'm also curious as to the status of the financing plan. If you could take a moment to reread it under the FAQ section and then comment regarding the "two financial groups" that will be funding the $6M. Where does USSE fit into this?
Does this sectioin of the website just need to be updated? or do these statements hold true?
I realize that you may not have answers, but I feel like you have a good pulse on things and I appreciate your input.
Thanks
Dissociative identity disorder?
Just like you said Jersey. I look forward to the news on Wednesday and my guess that the stock price will start to follow this very positive news. What is your take on the alleged stock price manipulation?
Still holding. I would think that we will have more news very soon. If you've read any of my previous posts, you will quickly realize that I'm no expert, but I can't see how this news is anything but positive. At least we are off the bottom and making things happen.
dtstx,
Thanks for taking the time to explain where you came up with the figure. Moreover, thanks for taking to time to concisely bring me up to speed with where things stand at the moment. I have been digging through the website and trying to pull all of this information together for myself, but obviously I needed a push in the right direction.
Thanks again and sorry for your troubles. I imagine that your explaination helped other newbies besides myself.
That said, by continuing buying shares you obviously feel that this is still going to come together. Besides use of the restricted shares, where do you think we will get the needed funding.
Dtstx,
Perhaps I'm publicy showing off my financial ignorance, but I don't understand how you come up with a figure $2M for the current funding. Even with 92M O/S @.04, aren't we really talking about a current shareholder equity of over 3.5M? To fund a 6M reactor I would think that the O/S would need to be diluted to 150M unless additinal funding is secured by the private placements as we are all hoping for.
It may be right in front of me, but I don't see where you come up with $2M.
I'm waiting it out today, and I plan to pick up some shares tomorrow. I don't see how the current price is justified with the current information that we have. I share snow's frustration with the lack of hard information, but at this point (without hard numbers to chew on) isn't it important to remember that we are all speculators and not investors. I just hope that Alex and Steve throw some numbers our way soon so that we can end all of the speculation and justify an increase in pps.
I may have missed something, but did we ever receive confirmation for the occupation of the manufacturing facilities which was supposed to occur the third week of October?
I would like to comment on snow's and dtstx's most recent posts, but I don't think that I would be able to shed any useful light on the subject.
Maybe Alex...or Steve can put an end to this debate in the near future. By the way Alex/Steve, if you're reading this post, momma is asking for some new shoes for Christmas and we need some good news from you soon to be able to keep her happy.
OK dtstx, you win. I couldn't stand having the computer off for more than 5 minutes. The funny thing is, is that shortly after I posted that message I lost my internet connection and I was deperate to try and fix it. I really should be a little more careful about what I say.
The bottom feeders like us will hopefully be in the drivers seat soon enough. Every couple of weeks I add to my modest share count in an effort to take advantage of this "bargain". Sure, there is a significant possibility that this thing could fall through, and the risks are very real. In fact, statistically I've always heard that only 1 in every 10 new businesses actually succeeds (please correct me if this is inaccurate). Despite this, the rewards if ACMG is legitimate will be inline with the risk taken and I've decided that I'm willing to accept the risk because I believe in Alex and the technology.
I'm looking forward to some more news from Alex and the gang. There seem to be some very exciting developments happening.
My computer stays on.
dtstx and jersey. Thanks for your replies. 03 x .031 now? I believe in this stock, but I'm going to definately have to turn off the computer to be able to endure the next few months.
I just wanted to thank you all for your insightful posts. I'm admittedly have a lot to learn regarding trading in general and I appreciate your discussions and explainations about what you feel is going on with this stock. Do any of you have any feelings about what the chances are that this stock could make the leap to a major market? I read recently that only 14 pinks out of over 4000 made that jump last year. Besides finacial reporting what would it take for us to move to the "big leagues" I apologize if I'm wasting your time with this post, but I do sincerely value your opinions.
I haven't seen jersey post on here in awhile. Could use a little of your optimism to remind me why I have a postition in this stock in the first place.
I may be the only one who is actually not too upset with the current stock price. Though I expected that we would see a run today, I look forward to adding to my position at what I consider to be bottom. I feel that patience will be the key. GLTY
