Han2004fl. Is there anyway you can check to see if a patent has been filed in south/southeast Asia for ACMG's technology?
Good luck to you too. Monkey poop.....good one.
Thanks for the analysis.
Dtstx. Hey brother.....Ok, I'm fairly certain that we are not related, but who knows. What we definately do have in common, however, is a stock that appears to have the makings for greatness. I hope that we do get the details of the LOI this Thursday as we are expecting.
Say hi to mom for me. LOL!
Snow. Do you believe that Alcar will disclose the details of the deal on Thursday? I'm thinking that we may just get a PR stating the the LOI has been signed and then get details later. I hope that this is not the case, but it is a possibility, right?
I'm doubling every .046 because I couldn't resist buying some .085's yesterday. I had to round it out to the next 100k you know, so it would look pretty.
I too noticed that USSE is taking a beating. Truth is though, I never even considered purchasing USSE. I saw a picture of John Rivera and it reminded me of a used car salesman that ripped me off when I was much younger. That picture definately scared me away. Come to think about it, he kind of looks like my current boss.
Better go before I make myself unemployed.
Today trading looks like a mirror image of yestedays so far. I will be very suprised if we don't see this make a move up in the afternoon.
Oilspec, That's good to know. I expect that everything will go off without a hitch. I'm learning as we go along on this one, so I admit my ignorance regarding these kinds of deals. Just when I think I have a good grasp on the situation I find something that draws my attention and I look to the board for clarification.
Thanks. I'm chilling the champagne for the inevitable celebration.
I appreciate your opinion. I'm just a little gunshy from the USSE deal. I agree that the fact that Alex is putting his shares in escrow shows the seriousness of the deal.
Despite your belief that there is a 1% chance that this will fall through, the letter of intent, when signed by Alex, for all intensive purposes is no different than the MOU signed with USSE. Sure the terms may be different, but the signing of this LOI has no real value in and of itself. Even after it is signed we will still be left speculating whether this deal is going to go through or not. For some reason I had the misinformed idea that the LOI would carry more wieght.
I now realize after some research that It is an important step in the negotiating process, but as I understand it, it will guarantee absolutely nothing just as with the USSE MOU. The real news will not come out on the 15th, but rather a month from then if your guess is on target.
Could it have to do with the complexity of the deal?
Typically what is the time between a signed LOI and a final agreement? I'm sure there is no set time, but I thought someone may have some ideas.
Also, Is it required to have the LOI? It would seem that the SEA has already bought into ACMG's technology by sending money to cover half of the cost for the Indian optimization process. I realize that these are two totally separate opportunities, but why bother with the LOI instead of just finalizing the financing deal?
Don't know friend. I tell you what though, let them keep thinking that this is a cash buyout so they drive the price up thinking that their stock is going to be worth $2.05 next week. I'll be more than happy to unload some of my shares on them at that point
I noticed that the the run from last week seemed to be driven by people who thought that there was going to be a buy out for $2.00 per share with the USSE deal. Funny. I'm glad that people like Jersey, Snow, dtstx, and others try to set the record straight for these guys, but hey if they want to be ignorant about it it can only help the PPS IMO. Someone has to take a loss....
Dounome.....easy buddy. Where did that come from? I actually appreciate the fact that people are kind enough to work through different numerical scenarios and share their ideas. I think that this is beneficial for all of us. Don't you? I think that almost all of us on this board are long on ACMG and we need to think about the possibilities of where we may stand financially in the near and distant future.
What do you think?
Jersey, I commend your patience. I think that you have repeeated youself at least 10 times today for the benifit of those of us who are trying to better understand the essence of the deal. Thanks
Short and Distort? Go away. Go bother the USSE guys.
Agreed, I only make an issue of it because Alex could have meant it in this sense in his last PR.
I did some research into the term dilution in reference to stocks and here is what I came up with. I'm doing this for my benifit in hopes of understanding better. Evidently Alex and I are both hung up on the first of the three issues listed below. If anyone has the energy to clarify my misunderstanding then I would be more than grateful.
Stock Dilution results from the issue of additional common shares by a company. This can result from a secondary offering, from employees exercising their stock options, or by the conversion of convertible bonds, preferred shares or warrants into stocks. There are three issues.
The ownership percentage or voting control may be reduced.
The per-share-earnings of the company may be reduced when shared among the greater number of shareholders. This depends on the proceeds received by the company and the return realized on its investment.
The value of an individual's share of the company may be reduced. Again this depends on the proceeds. This value can be a measure of the owners's share of the underlying business. Or it can be a measure of the stock's value in the secondary market. Some say dilution has the technical meaning of an event that reduces an investor's stock price below the initial purchase price, without regard to the exact ownership percentage.
You make a good point, but it would still technically be percentage dilution due to the fact that we each would own a smaller percentage of the company after the deal is completed. Ironically in this case the economic value will increase as a result.
I realize that, and I know that it is necessary, It's just that mentioning the D word has the same effect as dropping a brick into a fish tank and watching all of the fish hide and scatter. The thing that still pi##es me off is that none of this would be necessary if Midland Baring hadn't been such a bunch of friggen crooks in the first place.
Perhaps it's because he mentioned the D word. Good update, but not enough clarification.
ok, so maybe the tension that I'm feeling is a result of my wife's cooking.
Geez, I just reread the PR for today and I really like the tone of it. Though nothing is concrete as of yet, it has a no nonsense, take no prisoners air about it. If you had told me back in December that we would have so much going on now, I would have had a hard time believing it.
All I can say is right on Alex. Glad I hung in there during the drought. It feels as thought the dam is going to burst wide open on this soon. Can you all feel the tension?
Good point....should I be writing my resignation letter then?
Very nice to see us break through .09. Looks like I won't be picking up more on Thursday as I had planned. Just gonna ride it out from here and let Alex do his thing.
Wow,
If only I could dedicate myself to my job as much as I do to reading this board and watching this stock, I might not need this to go up in price.
I personally disagree. I don't think there has been any dilution.
LOL!! You're absolutely right. It's time to sit back and let this one mozy off into the sunset. Giddy up.
Just my skeptical side rearing it's ugly head again. I'm sure it will be exciting and positive.
Frankly it makes me nervous when he says "exciting" new development regarding the financing. I don't want exciting, I just want financing.
IMO, I think that when we receive the details (granted that they are positive) we will see a little of both. It is inevitable that some will flip this stock, but all in all we will end up with a justified basis for a higher PPS.
I'm looking to add to my humble position in this as well. I would expect a low on Thursday...Friday morning and then I think that it will start moving up in anticipation of the news, but hey what do I know.
I can't resist. One more from Uncle Teddy posted last October. No more I promise.
"About to drop into the .02s. Uncle Teddy really screwed up buying this POS. Gonna have to cancel some welfaah programs to covah my huge losses. Ayrep"
Looks like dtstx already gave you the lowdown on Uncle Teddy. From the sounds of it I should rephrase my last post and say that they used to have Uncle Teddy over there. Sorry to see him go really.....he was alwya sgood for a good laugh. One of my favorite posts by him back in November
"Like Uncle Teddy, this thing needs Viagra. It neva stays up. Uncle Teddy officially hates this stock. Ayrep."
Yes he's a legend and will be missed.
Thanks dtstx. I agree with you. I had just put the financing plan illustrated on the website out of my mind when the USSE deal came up.
but they have Uncle Teddy over there.
I understand your concerns, and I hate to get filosofical, but I guess it all depends on how much you believe in the company. Furthermore, I don't think that it is unreasonable to see a loss before you see a gain. I think most on this board can attest to that.
and yes by the way, that does answer the question. Thanks.
I say keep it coming down. Looking to pick up some more for the show at mid month.
Jersey,
Are you fairly certain that this would be an outright sale and not arranged financing? That would certainly explain why Alex is entertaining the idea of selling controlling interest if that is indeed the case.
Very interesting. Thanks for the post.
I personally don't see why Alex would even consider giving up controlling interest of the company at this point. With the USSE deal, I thought that the U.S. expansion at the Natchez plant may have warrented the sale, but what advantage is there now? Sounds like we have several irons in the fire at the moment, and the potential for a significant amount of sales through the licensing agreements. Shouldn't Alex be trying to arrange a smaller deal for only the 5M that we need to complete the first set of reactors? Later, with the revenue from the licensing agreements we could then focus on expansion. Am I missing the big picture?
