Hey Matt, what's the deal? Look at my previous posts before I was attacked by Rawnoc and his merry band of pumpers. I did a great job of asst. mod on FRPT, and posted a plethora of DD.
This is how you reward a valuable member of your board?
That's on the FRPT board.
I want my asst. mod status back when I get outta here on 3/31.
Another stock pumped by Rawnoc and his band of merry pumpers.. PPBL, down 50% in 2 days.
This is it... are you ready? 3 HOURS away.. remember the last time yearly earnings we released - $2 to $24 run.
Heading abve $20?? Not today, not before earnings. This is no OTC stock that runs up on press coverage or even orders. This is a NAS stock - NAS and NYSE care only about 2 things - numbers and guidance. If earnings and guidance are great, $3 + on Monday.
IT was a good piece overall, but I don't expect major PPS movement off it... it's all about Friday AH men... live or die!
Were you drunk?
Who was saying 3000% increase???
Sorry, I meant 375% increase in sales!
375% increase in revenue... not bad.
Anyone gonna guess the open tomorrow? $2.95
Wrong. Went lower.
Ever notice how the street.com posts NEGATIVE news right after great news leaks out?? Street.com isn't posting on behalf of the shorts, they are posting on behalf of the institutions who want to go LONG at decent prices... when they have loaded up, watch for a complete turnaround.
Use this site to track.. next update, end of March.
It only says 100% for last month because of FRPT moving to the NAS, but it was really around 70%.
http://www.nasdaqtrader.com/asp/short_interest_resp.asp?symbol=frpt&SettlementDate=02%2F15%2F200...
Noo! Short position is over 7mil. now...
I diagree with you on the short position. It went up 70% last month, and I think we will see it up again. Shorts have been in the red since $9... and they are betting all to win or lose big.
Don't give her the satisfaction... if you want to e-mail her, do it AFTER earnings when we hit $20+. Shove her face in dogsh1t!
Street.com at it again. It is now APPARENTLY OBVIOUS that street.com and PVI have some type of fiduciary relationship. M. Davis is nothing but a shill for PVI. She barely mentions OSK (a partner of PVI), but does not mention the real competitor to FRPT... BAE.
What a shill.
Force Protection Expands Research and Development Facilities
Monday March 12, 9:12 am ET
LADSON, S.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Force Protection, Inc. (NASDAQ:FRPT - News) today announced it has purchased the Research and Developmental Testing Facility of NEWTEC Services Group, Inc. Force Protection's ownership became effective March 9, 2007.
The leading armored vehicle manufacturer will use the facilities located near Edgefield, SC to expand its research and development activities and support the verification and quality control validation of Force Protection's armored vehicles used to protect military personnel against explosive threats.
"These assets will be extremely valuable to our ongoing R&D efforts," said Force Protection CEO Gordon McGilton. "Force Protection's commitment to producing the world's most advanced blast- and ballistic-protected vehicles is directly affected by our ability to continually improve upon the life-saving vehicle designs that have performed so well in the field. These new facilities will help strengthen this ability."
Force Protection's Buffalo and Cougar vehicles have been deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan since 2003 and have an unmatched record for troop safety after logging more than two million hours of heavy combat operations.
The company also recently introduced the Cheetah, a lighter weight blast-protected vehicle series designed for missions that require greater mobility in urban environments. Force Protection will conduct testing for all of its vehicle lines at this new facility
Closed at the HOD ... gap up on Monday. Have a nice weekend shorters and benchwarmers!
At least we're recovering to SANE levels of PPS.
What's really mind blowing is how many Buffalos the DoD plans to buy... I think it's in the thousands.
And what's great is, by the end of this year, they'll be cranking out 220 vehicles a month (200 COugars, 20 Buffaloes maybe), not to mention that new wharehouse they are building in Ladson, and the Cheetah being built somewhere (plans are for 200 per month for that too!)
Oh definitely. As long as earnings next week are decent, we should hold our gains.. then, BOOM. A 500 - 1000 MRAP order for Cougars... that will be nice.
Read the Bloomberg article. They won't get the 180 Buffalo contract technically awarded until the summertime (probably because of funding issues).
But I excpect another major MRAP Cougar order next month.
The backlog is getting ridiculous... billion dollar market cap is here.
Looks like the 180 Buffalo contract is WON, but will not be official for 3 months.
Army says Buffalo award coming in June or July after pre-solicitation on sole
Force Protection May Win $144 Million U.S. Army Truck Award
2007-03-09 14:04 (New York)
By Edmond Lococo
March 9 (Bloomberg) -- Force Protection Inc., the biggest
maker of blast-resistant trucks for the U.S. Marine Corps, may
win a U.S. Army order to make vehicles used to clear roadways of
mines and explosives in Iraq valued at about $144 million.
The Army on Feb. 16 issued a notice of its plan to buy 180
of Force Protection's Buffalo trucks, without a competition, and
allowed protests of the decision to be filed until March 5. The
deadline to protest the uncontested award passed this week
without response from potential competitors, Army spokesman Don
Jarosz said in an interview today.
The Army plans on awarding the contract in June or July,
Jarosz said. The Buffalo is the largest of three types of mine-
protected trucks used by the Army and Marines, and features a 30-
foot robotic arm with iron claw to clear explosives. Assistant
Secretary of the Army Claude Bolton said yesterday the two
services may buy 4,000 to 6,600 mine-protected vehicles.
``There is no competitor out there for the Buffalo
currently, so it makes sense they would get this sole-source
award,'' said Alan Albrecht, an individual investor who said he
holds about 400,000 shares of Force Protection among his private
investments. ``Production is ramping up quickly.''
The Buffalo costs about $800,000 per vehicle, Force
Protection Vice President Michael Aldrich said. At that price, a
purchase of 180 trucks would be worth about $144 million.
The purchases would add to the approximately 100 Buffalo
trucks already ordered by the Army, and would follow a $16.3
million Marine Corps order for 19 of the vehicles on March 6,
Aldrich said.
Cougar in Competition
``They put out a pre-solicitation notice when they intend
to make a sole-source award so that anyone who wishes to protest
can do so,'' Aldrich said in an interview today.
``We have not received any protests,'' Jarosz said.
Force Protection based in Ladson, South Carolina also is
competing for awards to build the smaller mine-protected trucks
with its Cougar vehicle. The Buffalo and Cougar have already
logged more than two million hours of heavy combat operations
and withstood more than 2,000 explosive attacks since they were
first deployed in 2003, the company has said.
Shares of Force Protection rose 35 cents to $16.50 at 1:21
p.m. New York time in Nasdaq Stock Market composite trading.
They have surged eightfold in the past year.
Who cares. Pump this pig to $5 so I can sell.
Not very long... end of year my guess.
They may yet get the Hummer replacement contracts.... don't count out the Cheetah. It's being built for some reason.
Hahaha... ok.
Shares are coming from nowhere!! They are shorts! Rmeember, they are borrowing long shares! We aren't on the SHO list, so no naked shorting... but those shares have to be bought back sooner or later.
Remember, short position was up 70% from last month... it may be up another 50% this month. Let them keep shorting... eventually, they run out of shares and then the buyers come in, BOOM, bear trap.
You have to remember, not all of us by at the all time low.
Maybe now we'll move back up to a respectable PPS.
Yeah, but it's down 22%... when will it go up?
Well, I don't think this is something they should PR... they kind of already did back in Dec. when they announced that they have an agreement with AH. Check old headlines.
I DO expect a PR for that Buffalo order yesterday... and that 180 Buffalo order probably next week.. maybe Th. before earnings?

Buh bye shorts, and no way we dip below $14 now.
Read the PR closely... the deal is with FRPT, NOT Force Dynamics. Therefore, every Cougar AH builds is 100% profit to FRPT, not split with GD.
2 good pieces of news tonight... let's see if the stock responds.
1. Marine Buffalo order (the 180 Army Buffalo order is still out there).
2. Restatement of earnings from 2005 may lead to a 2-$4 million INCREASE in earnings... interesting.
